Beginning on Sunday, May 5, and continuing through August, we’re
combining our worship times to a single service at 9:30am. Named “Hosanna’s Summer Experiment,” the intent is simply to spend our time together wisely and well so we can be a church for a whole life, offering stages of faith and a community to grow with.
By going to a single service we will all be able to worship together at the same time – people from different services and generations, all in the same room. We will also be able to introduce adult classes after and maybe even before the worship service.
May 5th – August 25th
Church staff have been working hard to coordinate all aspects of Hosanna’s ministry. Here is the complete timeline that will launch May 5th:
|8:45am||Pre-service fellowship and meetings|
|11:15am||Classes and Service Opportunities|
Children will join the worship service for 15 minutes and then be released to KidVenture, which will continue until 11:00 am. A kid’s club will begin at 11:15. Senior high youth will worship until 10:15, and then meet until 12:15. Junior high youth will have a class two times a month from 10:15 till 11:00, and then serve with adults or children during the 11:15 hour.
Details and signup for the adult classes will be made available over the next few weeks. Typically, these will be short-term (6-8 week) studies, with new topics/ministries being rolled out over time. This will give Hosanna members opportunities to lead/volunteer and learn, thus growing their faith up and out.
We will meet again at Summer’s end to review and discuss the experiment and determine our best way to worship, grow, serve and do community going forward. In the meantime, mark your calendars for Sunday, May 5. It’s going to be great and we encourage you to come to what draws you!
