Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people. News about him spread all over Syria, and people brought to him all who were ill with various diseases, those suffering severe pain, the demon-possessed, those having seizures, and the paralyzed; and he healed them. Large crowds from Galilee, the Decapolis, Jerusalem, Judea and the region across the Jordan followed him. (Matthew 4:23-25)
Meditation
Jesus’ actions caused quite a stir in the different towns he visited. How might you have responded to seeing his miracles? Wonder? Suspicion? Fear? Longing? Something else?
Remember times in your life when things happened that seemed, and possibly were, miraculous. What did you feel? How did you react? Did you experience faith… the presence of God… at those times? Have those miraculous moments made a lasting effect in your life?
Take a moment to talk with God about your reflections… to ask any questions… to make any requests… and, especially, to thank Him.
